[FASHION] Inspiration // Mixing Prints

Mixing Prints seems so fun!
Flip the pages of fashion magazines and websites and it's all there.
But it's not for the faint hearted and we definitely do not want to end up looking like a total mess!
Haha!
Ever wondered how stylists and celebs
look fabulous and effortlessly chic in this trend?
I've picked out some of my favourite looks from the internet so let's take some style cues from them and fashion sites to get started!

Mixing Prints of the same colour tone looks like a very good idea!

Here's my attempt at this mixing print trend with my accessories
e.g.: shoes rather than actual clothing.

Gingham X Houndstooth

After seeing so many inspiring and colourful mixing print outfits, my first attempt at this trend seems so subtle and almost unnoticeable haha!
Well I guess that leaves a lot of room for me to improve and have fun experimenting!

Have a lovely Midweek!
XOXO~

Mean Bean & Wicked Grind

Brought my mom to Mean Bean & Wicked Grind cafe for their Instagram cake promo last Monday.

All you needed to do was to repost this photo and show it to them to enjoy that special promo and that's exactly what I did!

Off we went in search of this cafe!

It's located inside The Plaza on Beach Road and it's linked to Park Royal hotel so you can easily locate this cosy little cafe once you reach the hotel.

Here we are!
Though the cafe is quite small and there aren't many seats,
they are more than willing to setup the foldable tables for you when the need arises.
I really liked the decor too!
The hanging lights, the red brick wall with black and white pictures hanging across reminds me of New York for some reason.
Not that I've been to New York before but its just a feeling haahaha!

Time to try their cakes!
We ordered the Oreo cheesecake, sea salt caramel shortbread & Strawberry Tart
Refreshing fruity tart to contrast the other two chocolatey choices
Pretty good Oreo Cheesecake I must say!
Not too sweet.
Our favourite of all,
Sea Salt Caramel Shortbread!
Totally delicious combination of chocolate and sea salt caramel that is to die for!
If I were to go back, it'll definitely be for this and the organic english apple presser which my mom and I shared.

They also serve artisan coffee, gourmet teas, cupcakes and organic fruit pressers which are totally delicious and an alternative if you don't want coffee/tea.

Time for OOTDs!

I was going for the casual chic look so I paired my new green skort with graphic print tee and completed the look with heels and simple black accessories.

My Mom's OOTD :)

Have a fabulous Monday!
XOXO~
